Position Overview
The Mounds View Schools Education Foundation (MVSEF) seeks to hire a part-time, contract Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant. This role manages the day-to-day finances and donation correspondence of the organization. The position reports directly to MVSEF’s Director of Foundation Operations, interfaces closely with the Board Treasurer, and is accountable to the Board of Trustees. It is estimated to be a 10 hour a week position. This is a flexible position, as some tasks can be performed remotely, but other aspects will require travel to the office in Shoreview, MN.
Duties and Responsibilities
● QuickBooks data entry, queries and financial reporting
● Database entries, queries and reports
● Printing and mailing correspondence
● Paying invoices
● Tracking scholarship fund balances
● Occasional event and project assistance
● Additional responsibilities may be required based on the changing needs of the organization.
Qualifications
● Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in the nonprofit sector
● Proficiency in QuickBooks (online)
● Familiarity with accounting principles
● Experience producing financial reports
● Experience in database management
● Background in nonprofit organizations and best practices
● Commitment to supporting the public education experience for students in the Mounds View Public Schools district
